Tamer Gezbul is a Geological Engineer with an M.Sc. degree. He has actively been working completely in the private sector for almost 28 years. He has worked as Project Geologist for various multi-national mining companies in Turkey and abroad for their precious and base metal exploration projects between 1987 and 1998 and took part in several mine discoveries. During this period, he has attended many in-house training courses, represented companies as a delegate in national and international symposiums and congresses.
Later he has joined cement and aggregate industry with Set Group, the Turkish subsidiary of Italcementi Group of Italy in 1998 as Raw Materials Engineer at its headquarters in Istanbul. He has worked for almost 13 years with Set Group; recently as Raw Materials Manager, helped to manage all raw materials related issues of Set Group Plants on behalf of Cement Operations Directorate.
He has extensive knowledge of raw materials related issues (quarry operations, environment, rehabilitation, alternative raw materials, etc.) within cement and aggregate industry supported with mining law and regulations and permitting.
Since 2011 he is acting as an international consultant for administrative and technical issues for cement and aggregate industry and additionally precious and base metal industry.
